According to Huberman's newest book 'Protocols', the case for letting sunlight hit your eyes within the first hour of waking is made. The claim is that it sets your circadian rhythm so that you get better rest that night. If Daylight Savings Time is made permanent, most everyone will not have this occur leading to poor sleep patterns and increased stress hormone release that will lead to major health issues like stroke, insulin resistance, heart attack, dementia, etc.
