Support
Email support@critically.io and a person reads it. Most of what people write in about has a faster answer below, so it is worth a look first.
The common ones
- The sign-in link never arrived
- Check the spam folder first — a link that says it was sent usually was. If it is genuinely missing, write to us from the address you are trying to use and we will send one directly. Asking for another link repeatedly does not help: there is an hourly limit, and the extra attempts are the ones that get dropped.
- The link opened and I am still signed out
- A sign-in link has to be opened in the same browser that asked for it. Opening one on a phone when it was requested on a laptop will not work, and neither will a mail app that opens links in its own browser. Ask for a new one on the device you want to be signed in on.
- A source I cited has changed
- That is the system working. The archived copy is kept and still shows what the page said when you cited it — the alert tells you the live page has moved on. If the exact sentence you quoted has gone, the citation says so rather than pretending.
- Somebody wrote a note disputing mine
- That is not a report and there is nothing to action. Dissent is a contribution here: it sits in the same list as the support, at the same weight. Answer it with a note of your own if you think it is wrong, and cite something.
- I want my account and everything on it gone
- In settings. Export first if you want it — everything you wrote comes out as JSON, on every plan, and portability is a right rather than a feature. Notes that other people hold on their boards are abandoned rather than deleted: your name comes off and the boards that were never asked to lose them keep them.
- I was charged and I do not know why
- Write to us and we will refund it. No form, no reason required.
Things that are not email
Three of these have their own path, because a queue that records what was decided and why is better than a decision living in somebody’s inbox.
Still stuck
Write to support@critically.io. Say what you were doing and what happened instead — and if something on a page looked wrong, the address of that page. It is one person reading these, so there is no queue position to quote and no script to get past.
Email supportOr somebody else
The address is on each one, so you can write from your own mail client if you would rather not use a form.
