Writing a note, rebuilt
- A new way to write a note. It asks for the claim, and for nothing else until you reach for it — a recording, a place, a date, pictures.
- Sources sit beside the part of the note they back, both while you write and when you read, with a line drawn between the two.
- One form for a citation everywhere on the site. Editing one now offers everything making one does, including approximate dates — “c. 1963”, or a century when that is all anybody knows.
- A note can be published on its own, and a published note can be kept in a private notebook of your own. Publishing is still one-way.
- Pictures open at full size, with paging.
- A recording can be added to a note, or taken off it, without editing what the note says.
